Mission statement:
“The IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter believes qualified interior designers play a critical role in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Modern legislation can provide meaningful professional recognition, establish clear standards for competency, and better align Colorado with national best practices. In partnership with ASID Colorado and the Consortium for Interior Design, we are working to advance legislation that recognizes qualified commercial interior designers and strengthens the profession for the benefit of the public.“

Colorado’s Design Community: WE NEED YOUR VOICE
The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) is currently accepting public comments as part of the Interior Designers Sunrise Review, and participation from our professional community is incredibly important.
IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter and ASID Colorado are working together to advance recognition and regulation of qualified commercial interior designers in Colorado. Now is the time for our members, colleagues, industry partners, educators, students, and supporters to make their voices heard.
DORA wants to hear directly from you. Your individual experiences and perspectives help demonstrate why Colorado needs a consistent way to verify professional competency and provide accountability for interior designers performing work that impacts the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
