CEU Compliance

A CEU is a measurement of contact hours and credit assigned to an approved course. Example: One contact hour = 0.1 CEU  IIDA Professional and Associate Members are required to take 1.0 CEU  equal to 10 hours of continuing education in a two year time period.

The current compliance period is January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2013.  It applies to only those who became either a Professional or Associate Member prior to January 1, 2012.  If an individual became a Professional or Associate Member after January 1, 2010, their first compliance period will begin January 1, 2014.

Tracking CEUs

It is the sole responsibility of the member to complete the requirements and keep all records of courses taken.  IIDA now accepts personal records of CEU credits by IIDA members.  You may track your CEU’s on the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) website at www.idcec.org.  The site also allows users to search all approved IDCEC continuing education units.
