Congratulations to the 2017 IIDA RMC Education Fund in Honor of Pam Weeks Winners!
Amy Schuster is an Interior Designer at RTA Architects in Colorado Springs, specializing primarily in healthcare design. In April of 2016, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Florida State University’s Interior Architecture & Design Program. Amy started her career as a designer by asking herself, “What in the world do I want to see changed?” The ability to create a space that can emotionally, physically, and psychologically impact others, especially within the needs of healthcare, is what drives her passion for change via design. Amy has greatly valued the opportunity to learn and make an impact on every project that she has been a part of thus far. IIDA RMC has also continuously supported her desire to grow as an individual, a designer, and helping her reach out to the surrounding community. She hopes to exponentially give back to others and the community as she advances on her path as a designer.
Downs & Associates
Born a California girl, raised in a Wyoming world, Leslie grew up in Wyoming. After high school, she went back and forth attending the university and local community college. She dabbled in many different majors including Nursing, Communications, Veterinary Technologies, and Math – just to name a few. She was, however, always very interested in Interior Design.
Leslie eventually made the move to Colorado to pursue a degree in Interior Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design, and never felt more at home. This past fall, she graduated as Summa Cum Laude, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design: Sustainable Design. Since graduation, Leslie has been working in Denver for Downs & Associates, a representative of contract furniture manufacturers.
